This project is inspired by the works of Michelangelo Merisi, better known worldwide as "Caravaggio". The "Characters" project aims to highlight the people most involved in his life, such as Anna the "Red",  "Cecco" of Caravaggio, or Lena, who marked  his escape from Rome after committing a murder. These characters are ordinary people, taken from the streets of Rome: prostitutes, porters, all humble extras in Caravaggio's life. The images float deconstructed and overlapping, like the pieces of a mosaic, or like fragments of broken mirrors, free from the passage of time, to highlight the fragility of our lives.
