This project is inspired by the artwork of Michelangelo Merisi, better known worldwide as “Caravaggio”, who contemporary critics consider to be the first real modern artist. From my perspective, I consider him the perfect combination of a rock star and a neorealist film director. The human body and the concept of light are the focal points of his art. This project wants to highlight the raw honesty of his characters and the birth of a new religious iconography, engraved in an image without time or space.
